Apparently, the flagship smartphones of the 2026 model year, including Xiaomi, which will be built on the latest top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and Dimensity 9500 processors and will launch this fall, will have up to 24 GB of RAM on board.
The same assumption was made by an insider of Digital Chat Station, who on his Weibo page said that the top five Chinese manufacturers of Android smartphones will release their new flagships in versions with 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal memory.

Note that a year ago, most brands refused to release smartphones with 24 GB of RAM due to the rising cost of memory chips. Moreover, prices have increased, but mass demand has remained limited. This led to the market settling on options with 12 GB and 16 GB of RAM.
However, the race to develop AI technologies in mobile devices is sure to shift priorities. For example, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 provides up to 100 TOPS (trillions of operations per second) of AI performance, and we expect something similar from the Dimensity 9500, and such indicators require a considerable amount of RAM.
