Huami, which can formally be attributed to Xiaomi, has officially introduced the Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch in China, aimed at both fitness enthusiasts and regular users.
The price of the new Amazfit brand is 1969 yuan (about $272) and it is currently available for pre-order on the JD online marketplace.
The watch features comprehensive health tracking, a rugged design, and supports advanced sports modes, including golf and diving. Open sales will start on May 20.
The Amazfit Balance 2 is equipped with a 1.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480×480 pixels, which is covered with sapphire crystal for additional scratch resistance. The diameter of the watch is 47 mm and it weighs only 42 grams, which makes the device light and comfortable to wear all day long.
The smartwatch is also equipped with 32 GB of internal memory, which allows users to store music and applications directly on the watch for offline use, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi (2.4GHz) wireless interfaces for uninterrupted connectivity, as well as an NFC module.
The watch runs Huami’s proprietary Zepp OS 5 firmware, which supports the installation of third-party applications and provides a smooth interface.
The Amazfit Balance 2 supports real-time monitoring of heart rate and blood oxygen levels using an advanced optical sensor. It also features sleep tracking, stress analysis, and fitness metrics such as VO₂ Max, recovery time, and training load.
The watch automatically recognizes several sports activities, including outdoor running, swimming, and cycling. They have a serious 10 ATM water resistance rating, which makes the watch suitable for diving.
For accurate location tracking, five satellite navigation systems are supported – GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS. It is also worth noting the presence of a built-in microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calls on board the watch.
The new Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch is powered by a 658 mAh battery, which provides the device with up to 21 days of use without recharging or up to 67 hours of continuous GPS operation.
The Amazfit Balance 2 kit includes a silicone strap and a magnetic charging base.
