A well-known online informant Mishaal Rahman, while researching the latest source codes of the Android Open Source Project, discovered a very interesting find that will clearly please owners of Android devices.
To be more precise, when creating the new software module “Loading parallel modules: Adding performance mode”, one of the Google developers left a curious comment, which he then forgot to delete – “Pixel 10 started launching 30% faster, and Pixel Fold – by 25%.”
According to the source, Google is already actively working on the early part of the multi-stage initialization process of the Android operating system when devices are turned on – it starts after the Linux kernel is loaded and prepares the basic environment required for the subsequent boot stages.
That is, we can safely assume that the introduction of this module will speed up the launch of Android devices, although not by the announced 25-30%, since this acceleration affects only one of the download stages.
However, the fact that Google is trying to make Android devices turn on noticeably faster is encouraging. Are we waiting for the first HyperOS builds on Android 16?
