A couple of weeks ago, it became known that the Amazfit Active 2 Square smartwatch is preparing to enter the market (details), and yesterday the manufacturer officially presented them.
The new Amazfit brand combines an elegant design and a balanced set of functions. Moreover, its release took place just a few days after the company announced the Amazfit Helio Strap.
Unlike the regular Active 2, the Active 2 Square model is equipped with a 1.75-inch square AMOLED display with rounded corners. This screen provides 2000 nits of peak brightness, has a resolution of 390 × 450 pixels and is covered with sapphire crystal.
The panel is surrounded by polished stainless steel, and there are several strap options that can change its aesthetic from sporty to more elegant.
With the Amazfit Active 2, you get the latest BioTracker 6.0 sensor along with a gyroscope, ambient light sensor, barometer, and accelerometer.
The watch runs on Zepp OS 4.5 firmware with the Zepp Flow AI voice assistant and includes various health-related trackers to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen SpO2, stress levels, and skin temperature.
For fitness enthusiasts, Active 2 Square supports over 160 workout modes. Other notable features include GPS support, Bluetooth 5.2 with built-in microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calls, and 5ATM water resistance.
Amazfit claims that the Active 2 Square can last up to 10 days with typical use on a single full charge, but with heavy use, this period can be reduced to 5 days, and up to 21 hours with GPS enabled.
Amazfit Active 2 Square is already available for purchase on the company’s official website and many online platforms at a price of $149.99.
