The other day, the Xiaomi-sponsored Redmi brand quietly launched sales of a very affordable Redmi 13X smartphone with a recognizable design and fairly good autonomy.
The new Redmi 13X is equipped with a 6.79-inch IPS screen with Full HD+ resolution and a frame rate of up to 90 Hz, a MediaTek Helio G91 processor in the Ultra variant, 6/8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash drive.
The rear panel of the Redmi 13X houses a camera unit that includes a main 108-megapixel camera with an aperture of f/1.8 and a 2-megapixel macro module with an aperture of f/2.4. The resolution of the front camera is 13 megapixels (f/2.5).
The Redmi 13X also boasts a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP53 protection class, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The battery capacity of the new product with support for a 33-watt power supply is 5030 mAh and, according to the manufacturer, it offers up to 17 hours of video playback on a single battery charge.
Out of the box, the Redmi 13X runs the proprietary HyperOS firmware of the first version, based on the Android 14 operating system.
At the start of sales, the Redmi 13X was priced at $168 and $183 for versions with 6/128 GB and 8/128 GB memory sets, respectively.
