The Black Shark brand, which can formally be attributed to Xiaomi, has introduced to the market the second generation of its smart ring named Black Shark Ring 2, which is designed to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Ring with a price tag of $105.
In terms of weight, the Black Shark Ring 2 was made a little lighter – only 4 grams, whereas the previous model weighed 5.4 grams.
According to the manufacturer, the autonomy of operation now reaches up to 10 days (90 days with a charge from the case), and this is a big break from the first generation, since the first model could work on a single charge for no more than 5 days.
In addition to the increased autonomy, the Black Shark Ring 2 received gesture control, which was not present in the previous model. Details of the implementation have not yet been disclosed, but it is claimed that users will be able to switch videos with a wave of their finger.

The Black Shark Ring 2 smart ring also has a set of health tracking functions in its arsenal.
For example, it is possible to control blood oxygen levels, sleep quality, and heart rate, and for sports enthusiasts, they have added a considerable number of training modes, such as cycling, running, and walking.
They also mention IP68 protection against water and dust, counting steps during the day, ring sizes from 7 to 12, as well as compatibility with Android and iOS operating systems.
