Yesterday, MediaTek introduced the flagship Dimensity 9400 platform (details), which shows impressive performance, and today the well-known blogger WhyLab posted a video with a comparative test of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 and Apple A18 Pro on Oppo Find X8 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro smartphones, respectively, in the rather demanding Genshin Impact game.
The test, which lasted for 30 minutes, showed that the device based on the Dimensity 9400 shows an average of 60.44 frames per second, while the average frame rate on the iPhone 16 Pro did not exceed 47.48 frames per second.
Moreover, on the iPhone 16 Pro, the frame rate often dropped below 35 frames per second. and on the Find X8 Pro, it was below 50 frames per second only once. During the test, the Oppo Find X8 Pro heated up to 47.7°C, and the iPhone 16 Pro slightly less — to 45.9°C.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip includes one super-powerful Arm Cortex-X925 core with a frequency of up to 3.626 GHz, three powerful Cortex-X4 cores with a frequency of up to 3.3 GHz, as well as a quartet of productive Cortex-A720 cores operating at frequencies up to 2.4 GHz. The graphics here are handled by the 12-core Arm Immortalis-G925 MC12.
Vivo and Oppo brands will be the first smartphones based on MediaTek Dimensity 9400, but Xiaomi will probably release devices based on this processor later.
