Owners of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco with HyperOS 2 firmware have increasingly asked how to turn on the flash or screen flicker on Xiaomi when receiving notifications or incoming calls.
In fact, this is the built-in functionality of HyperOS 2, which appeared in Xiaomi’s proprietary software quite a long time ago, and it is very easy to activate it.
To turn on the flash or screen flicker on Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco when notifications or an incoming call arrive on the device, follow these steps:
Go to Settings – Advanced Settings – Special features, go to the Hearing tab, where we select the item Flicker when receiving notifications. Here you can choose either the flash flicker or the screen. Moreover, in the second option there is a choice of color.
By the way, not all Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco models have this feature – as a rule, there is no such functionality on frankly budget smartphones and some mid-range devices.
