Quite a large number of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco owners are interested in which versions of Android with HyperOS firmware their device will receive in the future, which is quite understandable.
In fact, Xiaomi’s update policy is very strange and unpredictable. For example, the global version of the Redmi Note 14 4G smartphone (review) was officially promised 4 Android updates and 6 years of security patches, while the more interesting Redmi Note 14 5G (review) is “threatened” with only 2 OS updates and 4 years of security patches.
However, Xiaomi has an official page with a list of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices certified under the AER program. That is, not all the manufacturer’s models are listed on it, but only those participating in this project, but all the Android versions that they will receive are listed.
For example, Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro smartphones will receive major updates up to Android 18, and their full support will cease in September 2029. In turn, the Redmi Pad Pro 5G tablet will receive only Android 16 and it will be included in the EOL list in August 2027.
