Owners of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco with HyperOS 1 and HyperOS 2 firmware with enviable regularity continue to ask questions about how to increase the volume in Bluetooth headphones on Xiaomi, since they do not have enough volume when connected normally.
We have already discussed in detail how to raise the volume of wireless headphones on Xiaomi with MediaTek processors in this article, and here we will provide instructions on how else to raise the sound volume in Bluetooth headphones on Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices built on any chipsets.
By default, the Xiaomi HyperOS system limits the maximum volume in wireless headphones in order to maintain a constant level between applications, which allows us to achieve the same volume when switching from YouTube to Spotify or any other application, but in practice this means that we will never reach the maximum sound level.
However, Xiaomi developers have taken this nuance into account and allow Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco users to easily disable this limitation in three simple steps, making our headphones sound much louder.
To do this, go to Settings – Bluetooth, select the necessary headphones and, almost at the very bottom of the menu that opens, deactivate the Synchronize volume level switch.
In this simple way and in just three steps, we will disable the volume limitation that Xiaomi is implementing in its smartphones, ensuring that any device that we connect via Bluetooth, whether wireless headphones or speakers, will sound noticeably louder.
It is worth noting that this feature on different Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco models with different global HyperOS 2 Global firmware may simply not work or may not work correctly.
P.S. Other instructions on configuring the HyperOS software platform and using its features on Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices are available on our website in this section.
