Back in early February, the first information appeared that Xiaomi developers would soon begin releasing major updates to HyperOS 2.2, which would continue the work of HyperOS 2.1 and would carry quite large changes and innovations.
Even before the launch of HyperOS 2, Xiaomi demonstrated the interface of recent iOS-style apps, which can be said to have excited many users who expected a smoother and easier multitasking experience.
However, the iOS style never appeared in either HyperOS 2 or HyperOS 2.1. Many fans of the brand were disappointed and are still wondering if Xiaomi will add it to HyperOS 2.2.

Who is HyperOS 2.2 being tested for?
The internal builds of HyperOS 2.2 are currently being tested on the following flagship devices:
- Xiaomi 15
- Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro
- Redmi K70 Ultra
Who will receive HyperOS 2.2 and when?
According to insiders and various network informants, the large-scale release of HyperOS 2.2 firmware will start in March this year, but they do not specify what exactly they will bring to Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices.
Moreover, in March, HyperOS 2.2 is promised to devices of the flagship and “almost flagship” levels, and in April, the turn will reach devices from the middle segment. Budget models, apparently, HyperOS 2.2 “does not shine”.
It is also not yet clear whether the future HyperOS 2.2 is intended only for Chinese models, or whether global variants of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco will receive it.
What is the result?
HyperOS 2.2 may bring exciting changes, and many users are hoping for a redesign of the list of recent iOS-style apps, which is highly likely to be added to these builds. Xiaomi has not confirmed this yet, but testing shows other big improvements.
