Back in early January, information appeared that Xiaomi developers were preparing to release HyperOS 2.2 updates, which would continue the work of HyperOS 2.1 and carry OS2.0.2 xx numbers, and at the end of the same month they started the first tests.
Moreover, today it became known that beta versions of HyperOS 2.2 for five Xiaomi devices are already at the stage of internal testing.
We are talking about the following devices and assemblies:
- Xiaomi 15 Ultra: OS2.0.200.1.VOACNXM
- Xiaomi 15: OS2.0.200.6.VOCCNXM
- Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro: OS2.0.200.5.VOYCNXM
- Xiaomi Pad 7: OS2.0.200.3.VOZCNXM
- Redmi K70 Ultra: OS2.0.200.3.VNNCNXM
As you can see from the numbers, we are talking about Chinese firmware, and today it is not clear whether global models will receive updates to HyperOS 2.2.
Insiders also claim that the mass release of HyperOS 2.2 updates will begin in March, but what exactly they will bring to Xiaomi devices is not specified, it only talks about “a bunch of new features and stability.”
HyperOS 2.2 may bring exciting changes, and many users are hoping for a redesign of the list of recent iOS-style apps, which is highly likely to be added to these builds.
At the same time, in March HyperOS 2.2 should receive devices of the flagship and sub-flagship levels, and in April devices from the middle segment will begin to receive it. Most likely, HyperOS 2.2 will not be released for budget models.
