A few days ago, the first data appeared that on Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphones with the HyperOS 2.2 update on board, it will be possible to customize the status bar “for yourself”.
And today, a number of insiders confirmed this information, as well as Chinese users of Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, who have already received beta versions of HyperOS 2.2 on their devices.
In particular, it is reported that Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco users with HyperOS 2.2 will be able to specify the maximum number of icons in the status bar, as well as enable or disable certain icons (with the exception of NFC).

Despite the fact that Xiaomi developers are already releasing global updates to HyperOS 2.1 (details), which are numbered OS2.0.1xx, there is no information yet about when HyperOS 2.2 firmware with OS2.0.2xx numbers will be released outside of China.
However, we are still talking about Chinese beta versions of HyperOS 2.2, and global versions are unlikely to appear in the near future.
