After the release of the first global updates of HyperOS 2, owners of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices began to complain about small application icons and inconvenient desktop grids.

But, apparently, Xiaomi developers nevertheless paid attention to the indignation of users and in the new version of HyperOS 2 Launcher number 5.39.40 (download) they returned the 4×6, 4×7 and 5×9 grids.
However, nothing is reported about the possibility of increasing the size of the icons in the latter, but it talks about adding AI answers to the search for applications (not for all models), as well as optimizing performance and overall improvements.
You can download the corresponding apk file from the link above and update HyperOS 2 Launcher on your Xiaomi or Redmi, but if the current version of the Desktop application (System Shell) has the number from 4.39.14 to 4.39.36, then you need to delete its updates.
It won’t work on Poco devices! There will be no stable operation on HyperOS firmware of the first version!
