Yesterday, Xiaomi officially introduced global variants of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G smartphones (details), which received branded HyperOS firmware of the first version based on the Android 14 operating system out of the box.
Why the new products were not immediately given the latest HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, the only explanation that comes to mind is that the manufacturer wants to significantly reduce the support time for these devices.
Apparently, as compensation, Xiaomi announced in the same presentation that the HyperOS 2 Global updates, which will soon be released for the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G and Note 14 Pro+ 5G, will receive advanced “chips” related to artificial intelligence.

To be more precise, we are talking about the following functions:
- AI Interpreter (Real-time translation of conversations, allowing face-to-face communication in different languages)
- AI Notes (Improved notes with AI)
- AI Subtitle (Translation of video voiceover into subtitles in real time)
- AI Recorder (Translation of voice recordings)
- AI Ultra-Clear Portrait (Various improvements for portrait shots)
- AI Beauty (Face processing in AI photos)
- AI Erase Pro (Improved “eraser” that removes unnecessary elements in the photo)
- AI Image Expansion (Visual tools for photo processing)
- AI Bokeh (Improved background blur)
- AI Cutout (Improved cropping of objects in photos)
That is, this functionality, which runs on artificial intelligence algorithms and was previously announced in the global HyperOS 2 Global only for flagship and sub-flagship devices, is gradually moving to the middle segment of Redmi brand devices.
