The other day, the LineageOS 21 firmware was released, based on the Android 14 QPR1 operating system, which almost immediately became available for 32 Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphone models, including outdated devices whose official support has long been discontinued.

One of the most notable changes in LineageOS 21 are the updated Glimpse (Gallery), Aperture, Jelly (Browser), Dialer, Contacts, Messaging, LatinIME and Calculator applications. This not only provides a more pleasant and customizable user interface, but also a more intuitive interaction with the device.
As for system updates, LineageOS 21 speeds up the update installation process using Google optimization and simplifies the integration of monthly Android security patches by updating merge scripts and updating utilities to extract files directly from OTA, if possible.
