Even during the autumn presentation of devices of the Xiaomi 14T sub-flagship family (details), Xiaomi representatives said that soon the Link to Windows function will appear in the HyperOS 2 Global firmware, which will make it easy to synchronize a smartphone with a computer.
To be more precise, users have the opportunity to transfer data, make voice calls and receive calls, as well as display an image from a smartphone on a computer screen. In this case, the connection is made via a Wi-Fi network or, in some cases, via a Bluetooth connection.
Link to Windows provides a truly integrated experience with PCs running the Windows operating system.
And, it is worth noting, the manufacturer kept this promise – the Poco X7 Pro smartphone (details) presented on January 9 received HyperOS 2 out of the box, which includes the Link to Windows function.

The Poco X7 Pro was the first to get this feature and is currently the only one with it. Of course, it is expected that Link to Windows will gradually reach other models, but, for sure, these will be models from the flagship and sub-flagship segments – affordable smartphones will do without it.
Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices, which received the Link to Windows feature along with the HyperOS 2 update, will have the Link to Windows item of the same name located along the Settings – Additional Connection Options path.

However, you can install Link to Windows on any Android smartphone from the Google Play app store, but this service works best when pre-installed on the device.
This is because Link to Windows cannot perform some functions if it is not preinstalled as a system application, such as clipboard synchronization or streaming applications. However, the service can still control notifications, text messages, calls, photos, and media player controls.
