As we know, on October 9th, Taiwanese chipmaker MediaTek will unveil its new flagship Dimensity 9400 processor to the public, and today, thanks to an insider at Digital Chat Station, we have the opportunity to evaluate the performance of its graphics controller.
To be more precise, the source shared a screenshot showing that the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip scored 134 frames per second in the GFX Aztec 1440P off-screen Vulkan test. For comparison, the Apple A18 Pro reaches 72 frames per second, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 reaches 95 frames per second.

The numbers speak for themselves, the Dimensity 9400 delivers a staggering 86% performance improvement over the latest Apple A18 Pro chip installed in the iPhone 16 Pro series and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 by a decent 41%.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9400 single-chip system has received the latest Arm Immortalis graphics processor, the G925 MC12, which, according to the developers, is their “most productive and efficient GPU” to date.

Compared to the previous generation G720, it boasts:
- 37% increase in graphics application performance
- 52% improvement in ray tracing for complex objects
- 34% increase in AI performance
- 30% reduction in energy consumption
This is a significant and comprehensive update to Arm’s graphics solution. However, independent tests on real devices will be needed to confirm these figures, but the potential is certainly exciting.
