For example, today Xiaomi developers have rolled out a new HyperOS 2 build for Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, which is numbered OS2.0.7.0.VOYCNXM, it is also based on Android 15 and has already become the fourth “update” for this device.
However, the OS2.0.7.0.VOYCNXM firmware for Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro only includes a security fix from November 2024 to improve system security, as well as minor improvements and fixes for the detected problems. There is nothing radically new in it.
The latest HyperOS 2 update for Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is currently being distributed only to participants in the Mi Pilot testing program, but later, if no serious errors are found, all owners of Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro will receive this update.
Of course, so far we are only reporting Chinese updates to HyperOS 2, stable global builds of HyperOS 2 will not begin to be released until the end of December, and a large-scale deployment of HyperOS 2 outside of China is expected in the first quarter of 2025.
