Two days ago in India, Xiaomi introduced the affordable Poco M7 5G smartphone, aimed at users with a limited budget, but with modest technical specifications.
The new Poco received a 6.88-inch IPS screen with HD+ resolution and a frame rate of 120 Hz, a chipsetSnapdragon 4 Gen 2, LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 flash memory, and a 5,160 mAh battery with fast 18-watt charging.
A 50-megapixel main camera based on the Sony IMX852 image sensor, as well as an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, is responsible for shooting photos and videos in the Poco M7 5G.
Out of the box, the Poco M7 5G runs proprietary HyperOS firmware based on Android 14 OS and is promised two major Android updates along with four years of security fixes.
Additional features of the Poco M7 5G include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP52 splash protection, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
In India, the Poco M7 5G is already available for purchase in black, green or blue at a price of INR 9,999 for the 6/128 GB version and INR 10,999 for the 8/128 GB version ($150 and $130 respectively).
There is no official information yet about whether the Poco M7 5G will be released in other regions or will remain exclusive to the Indian market.
