As expected, yesterday, the Poco brand sponsored by Xiaomi introduced in India a rather interesting smartphone, the Poco M7 Pro 5G, which should later appear in other markets.
The Poco M7 Pro 5G was equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a frame rate of 120 Hz, covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chip in the Ultra version, LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 flash memory, and an under-screen fingerprint scanner.
The Poco M7 Pro 5G has a dual rear camera based on a Sony LYT-600 50-megapixel sensor with optical and electronic image stabilization, which is complemented by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The 20 MP front-facing camera is located in the hole in the center of the upper part of the screen.
The Poco M7 Pro 5G is powered by a 5110 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack are also provided, and the smartphone case itself is protected from moisture and dust in accordance with the IP64 standard.
The Poco M7 Pro 5G runs Android 14 with the proprietary HyperOS interface. According to the manufacturer, the smartphone will receive updates to the Android operating system for two years, and security fixes for 4 years.
The Poco M7 Pro 5G will hit shelves in India on December 20 at a price of 14,999 ($177) and 16,999 rupees ($200) for versions with 6/128 GB and 8/256 GB memory packs, respectively. The new product will appear on the global market in the spring of 2025.
