Last week, the Poco brand sponsored by Xiaomi presented a very interesting smartphone, the Poco X7 Pro (announcement), which is built on a fresh MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chip and which, as it turned out, surpasses its competitors based on Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processors and even Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

To be more precise, the new Poco X7 Pro was tested in the popular AnTuTu, Geekbench and 3D Mark WildLife test packages, where it showed very decent results. However, this is quite predictable, since this was discussed back in the summer of 2024.

Poco X7 Pro in AnTuTu

In AnTuTu 10, the Poco X7 Pro model powered by the Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset scored 1,590,202 parrots, which is an impressive result for a mid-range processor.

Here, the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra smartphone surpasses the popular Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset and even the “almost” flagship Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 from the American developer Qualcomm.

The result is in AnTuTu 10
Poco X7 Pro (8400 Ultra) 1 590 202
Poco F6 (8s Gen 3) 1 509 243
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ (7s Gen 3) 725 812
Realme GT 6T (7+ Gen 3) 1 448 726

Poco X7 Pro in Geekbench

In Geekbench 6, the Poco X7 Pro smartphone on the Dimensity 8400 Ultra scores 1,579 points in the single-core test, which is quite average among mid-range chipsets, but in the multi-core test the result increases significantly to 6238 thanks to the “large” processor cores – here the Dimensity 8400 Ultra confidently leads.

Single Core Multi Core
Poco X7 Pro (8400 Ultra) 1 579 6 238
Poco F6 (8s Gen 3) 1 857 5 034
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ (7s Gen 3) 1 193 3 234
Realme GT 6T (7+ Gen 3) 1 924 4 571

Poco X7 Pro in 3D Mark WildLife

3D Mark is a popular tool for testing the performance of a gaming device/chip. The WildLife Extreme Stress test evaluates performance under prolonged high loads.

Here, the Poco X7 Pro, powered by the Dimensity 8400 Ultra, performed better than its competitors, which indicates high GPU performance, so you’ll get a better gaming experience with the Dimensity 8400 Ultra than with most mid-range chips.

The result is in 3D Mark
Poco X7 Pro (8400 Ultra) 4 086
Poco F6 (8s Gen 3) 2 823
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ (7s Gen 3) 3 087
Realme GT 6T (7+ Gen 3) 2 737

By the way, to date, only two smartphone models based on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 single-chip system have entered the market – this is the Chinese Redmi Turbo 4 device (announcement) and, in fact, the Poco X7 Pro based on it.
