The other day, the company Qualcomm has quietly updated its official website with a page describing the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 platform, which promises to be a very productive solution.
In fact, the Snapdragon 870 processor has become a clone of the successful 7nm flagship Snapdragon 865 chip – one proprietary Kryo core based on Arm Cortex-A77 with a frequency of 3.2 GHz, three cores based on Cortex-A77 with a frequency of 2.4 GHZ, a quartet of cores based on Cortex-A55 running at a frequency of 1.8 GHZ, the Snapdragon X55 modem, as well as the Adreno 650 graphics controller.

In addition, the Snapdragon 870 received a set of Fast Connect 6800 wireless interfaces, which includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 with added support for the Wi-Fi 6E standard with frequencies of 6 GHz and a peak speed of 3.6 Gbps.
Otherwise, there are no noticeable differences from the Snapdragon 865 – it is a similar solution with a new generation AI engine with a performance of 15 TOPS, a set of Snapdragon Elite Gaming gaming functions, a Hexagon 698 neural unit and support for screens with a resolution of up to QHD+ and a frame rate of up to 144 Hz.
