This fall, the leading chipmakers Qualcomm and MediaTek will present their new solutions in the face of processors with the conditional names Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and Dimensity 9500, respectively.
But yesterday, a well-known Digital Chat Station insider told on his Weibo page that Qualcomm will introduce two chips with internal markings SM8850 and SM8845 in October.
The first, the SM8850, will be named Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, but the SM8845 will be a completely new top-end development created in collaboration with specialists from Redmi, iQOO, Realme and OnePlus.
It is also specified that the SM8845 will be produced using the latest 3nm N3P process technology at TSMC factories and will receive branded Orion processor cores. Its performance is close to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and in AnTuTu it will gain about 3,000,000 “parrots”.
