In mid-December last year, Xiaomi specialists released the first global HyperOS 2 update for Redmi 13 and Poco M6 (details), which received the OS2.0.2.0.VNTMIXM number and is based on the current Android 15 operating system.

The satisfied owners of the Redmi 13 and Poco M6 were very pleased that they received the new HyperOS 2 platform almost among the first, but this joy was seriously overshadowed – after receiving the update, the Redmi 13 and Poco M6 began to “eat” the battery in an enhanced mode.

However, Xiaomi’s developers can be said to have responded promptly to this problem, as reported in the latest “HyperOS Optimization Report” (details).

To be more precise, a global firmware with the number OS2.0.3.0.VNTMIXM was released for Redmi 13 and Poco M6, which resolved the problem with over-discharge of the battery, made other minor changes, and added the December Android security patch to the pile.

In other words, users of the Redmi 13 and Poco M6 models with OS2.0.2.0.VNTMIXM firmware who have problems with the battery drain do not need to do anything specifically, but simply wait for the OS2.0.3.0.VNTMIXM update. Or alternatively, download it and install it through three points.

P.S. We collect all the most interesting information about the new version of the HyperOS 2 software platform here, and you can find the latest news about the HyperOS system in this section.
