At the very end of November, Xiaomi announced, under its sponsored Redmi brand, the top-end Redmi K80 smartphone (details), built on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and by the end of the year, another Honor GT series device should be released, which will be based on the same chip and will seriously compete with the new product from Redmi.
Despite the fact that the promotional campaign for the new Honor GT family model has not yet begun, the Honor manager in this product area has already begun to take certain steps in this direction. In particular, he compared the performance of the Redmi K80 and the upcoming Honor GT in the famous Genshin Impact game, which is very demanding on hardware.
During the 30-minute gaming session at Genshin Impact, the Redmi K80 smartphone was not happy with its stability, showing a framerate in the range of 40 to 60 fps, while the Honor GT produced an almost perfect schedule, producing a stable 60 fps with almost no drawdowns.
This probably indicates a more thoughtful cooling system and careful calibration of the performance of the future new Honor. However, an engineering sample could well have participated in the test, and serial copies could easily show completely different results.
