Today we already wrote that Xiaomi developers are testing HyperOS 2 builds based on Android 16 for Redmi K80 and Poco F7 Pro (details), but as it turned out, that’s not all – a similar firmware for Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G (review) is in the testing phase.
It is specified that Xiaomi specialists are working on updating HyperOS 2 with the OS2.0.250510 number.1.WOPMIXM.PRE for the global version of the fairly popular Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G device.
It is not entirely clear why Xiaomi is releasing such assemblies as part of HyperOS 2, because it is the future HyperOS 3 that will initially be built on Android 16. Apparently, the manufacturer wants to more accurately update Android 16 for its HyperOS shell and avoid possible bugs in HyperOS 3.
P.S. We collect all the most interesting information about the new version of the HyperOS 2 software platform here, and you can find the latest news about the HyperOS system in this section.
