It is expected that on October 23, the new flagship smartphones of the Xiaomi 15 series will be officially unveiled and a new version of the Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 proprietary system will be released, and today insiders named its key innovations.
To be more precise, Xiaomi recently launched a global beta program called HyperOS Enhanced Experience Beta, in which it is testing HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. With this beta version of the software platform, some features have been added to the system that will be in HyperOS 2.0.
As a result, we are talking about the following:
- New Animations: Control Center and Sidebar: New animations in both provide more refinement and better user experience. Game Turbo now uses an improved animation system for smoother transitions and a more visually appealing user experience when navigating between the various game optimization tools available. Large folders and interaction with applications now have a more intuitive interaction thanks to new smooth animations.
- Wi-Fi Sharing: Wi-Fi passwords are now easier to share and even connect seamlessly between Xiaomi devices (details).
- Mi Transfer “My Devices Only”: Mi Transfer introduces a security-oriented feature called “Devices with the same account Only”. Transfers will be limited to devices connected to the same Xiaomi account. This removes the time limit and further enhances privacy.
- New Watch app: redesigned watch app; the return of unlock and shutdown animations that were canceled with the release of MIUI 13.
- Improved Launcher: In this improved launcher, performance is theoretically improved, and the application itself should run much more smoothly and quickly.
- Improved Settings menu: HyperOS settings are now better organized and more accessible. This is in line with Xiaomi’s efforts to minimize user interaction to achieve greater efficiency.
So far, these innovations are relevant for Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 13T Pro, Redmi K60 Ultra smartphones participating in beta testing and Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 tablet.
