The first stable builds of HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 will be released only in the fall, but insiders are already publishing “official” lists of devices that should receive the appropriate firmware.
Although the wait will last until the end of the year, when the Android 16 operating system will be distributed along with HyperOS 3, the company has already begun preliminary tests on some models, finally confirming 22 devices.
The new Android 16 features on Xiaomi and Redmi go beyond the usual security improvements. The system will provide dynamic notifications that will allow direct interaction from the lock screen.
The HyperOS camera will receive optimized codecs for excellent image quality. Given how important mobile photography has become in our lives, these improvements may redefine the industry’s quality standards.
