In the near future, Qualcomm chipmaker will introduce a budget Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor, bearing the internal SM4635 marking, and yesterday a well-known insider Evan Blass (@evleaks) found the full specifications of the chip somewhere, and the official ones, and shared them with the public.
The Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 is a 5G solution that includes eight 4nm Kryo cores – a pair of high-performance Arm Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of up to 2.0 GHz and six energy-efficient Crotex-A55 cores operating at frequencies up to 1.8 GHz. That is, all eight cores are lowered by 200 MHz compared to the SD 4 Gen 2 cores.
In fact, the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 will become a stripped-down version of the already sad Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset – it can’t shoot video better than 1080p@60fps, it doesn’t support Wi-Fi 7 or even Wi-Fi 6, but it has outdated Bluetooth 5.1.
In addition, the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chip supports only LPDDR4X RAM with a frequency of 2133 MHz, although the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 can work with LPDDR5X at 3200 MHz.
And if the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 supports displays with Full HD+ resolution at a frame rate of up to 120 Hz, then for the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2, only FHD+@90 Hz screens are claimed.

The release date of the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is still unknown, but it is unlikely that Qualcomm marketers will hold any special event on this occasion.
