Only recently, the world’s leading chipmakers Qualcomm and MediaTek, which develop chips for smartphones, introduced their new flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400 processors, respectively, and information about the conditional Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and Dimensity 9500 has already begun to appear on the Network.
According to an insider Jukanlosreve, citing sources in South Korea, both the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9500 will score about 4,000 points in the Geekbench 6 single-core test.
For context, the current Snapdragon 8 Elite is currently showing a score of about 3,200 points in the same benchmark. So if the leak turns out to be true, it would be a 25 percent performance boost for the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 – a very solid upgrade considering the already impressive performance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Previously, there were rumors that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 single-chip system would be produced at both TSMC and Samsung factories, but another leak from Jukanlosreve suggests that TSMC will be the sole manufacturer this year. However, there are reasons for this, which we discussed yesterday.
At the same time, TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process, labeled N3P, is expected to provide improved performance and better energy efficiency than the N3E process used in the release of the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Whether these improvements will mitigate the high heat dissipation issues of Qualcomm and MediaTek’s upcoming flagship chips, which are expected to see a major performance jump, remains to be seen.
