As you know, Qualcomm engineers are actively working on creating their next flagship processor, which, theoretically, should receive the commercial name Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
A lot is already known about the upcoming new product in technical terms, and now the well-known network informant Digital Chat Station told on his Weibo page that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be introduced in September.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is expected to run at up to 4.4GHz, which is slightly higher than the 4.32GHz of the previous Snapdragon 8 Elite model. In addition, it will receive Orion processor cores of its own design for the second generation.
It is also known that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be produced using a third-generation 3nm process technology at the facilities of Taiwan’s TSMC. This will provide a 4% increase in productivity while reducing power consumption by 9% without changing the operating frequency.
Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro are supposed to be the first smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip on board. In addition, we will see the new chipset in the Redmi K90 Pro, Realme GT 8 Pro, OnePlus 14, iQOO 14, Xiaomi 16 Ultra, Vivo X300 Ultra and Oppo Find X9 Ultra.
