It became known that on April 2, the American chipmaker Qualcomm will introduce the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, which in terms of performance will occupy an intermediate position between the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Recall that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is credited with a 4nm process technology and the following set of cores:
- 1 x Cortex-X4 (3.21 GHz).
- 3 x Cortex-A720 (3.01 GHz).
- 2 x Cortex-A720 (2.8 GHz).
- 2 x Cortex-A720 (2.02 GHz).
The proprietary Adreno 825 controller, a slightly scaled-down version of the Adreno 830 installed in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, will be responsible for graphics. The chipset will also include 6 MB of system cache (SLC) and 8 MB of L3 cache for increased efficiency.

By the way, the Snapdragon 8s Elite SoC will not have the latest Orion cores, but this chip is gaining about 2,000,000 “parrots” in the popular AnTuTu benchmark.
The Snapdragon 8s Elite processor will be received by Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro and Redmi Turbo 4 Pro smartphones (it will enter the global market asPoco F7), Oppo K13 Pro, iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro and some other models.
