Back in March, the first information appeared that Xiaomi was preparing to announce a new Redmi Pad 2 tablet under the Redmi brand (details), which will offer good performance with an adequate price tag.
As you know, the Redmi Pad 2 has not yet been officially introduced, but this did not prevent Brazilian bloggers from getting it somewhere and showing on video the unpacking of the tablet and the first practical experience of using it.
Recall that the Redmi Pad 2 is credited with an 11-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 2500 x 1600 pixels and a frame rate of 90 Hz. MediaTek Helio G100 chip in the Ultra version, 8 MP and 5 MP cameras, four speakers with Dolby Atmos technology, 3.5 mm audio jack, as well as a 9000 mAh battery with 18-watt charging.
It was also previously reported that the Redmi Pad 2 will receive versions 4/128 GB and 8/256 GB with price tags of $229 and $279 respectively, and out of the box the new tablet will run the proprietary HyperOS 2.1 platform based on Android 15 OS.
