In early June of this year, Chinese sources shared encouraging information that a single switch will appear in Xiaomi HyperOS firmware, with which it will be possible to completely disable the display of ads on Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices.
Moreover, insiders even published screenshots with this very switch that disables the display of ads in HyperOS system applications, and clarified that you can find it by going to Settings — Xiaomi Account — About Xiaomi account.
However, yesterday Xiaomi “turned on the back” and announced that “there will be no easy way to disable system ads,” adding a very strange phrase to this statement.:
We currently have no plans to add a switch that, in fact, will detect and use only a small number of users.
