The UBports Foundation community has released an updated Ubuntu Touch OTA-9 operating system based on the Ubuntu 20.04 LTS distribution, codenamed Focal.
The Ubuntu Touch OTA-9 update has mainly optimized VoLTE support, updated Waydroid, and changed the emoji font to Noto Color Emoji, and it can be installed on a number of older Xiaomi smartphone models released under the Redmi and Poco brands.
The Waydroid service has been updated to version 1.5.1, providing a reliable container solution for running Android applications in the Ubuntu Touch environment.
We are talking about the following devices:
- Poco X3 NFC / X3
- Poco M2 Pro
- Redmi Note 9 Pro / Pro Max / 9S
