There is great news for owners of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices – the “Unimportant Notifications” feature, which was previously available in MIUI but was lost in HyperOS 1.0, is returning with the release of HyperOS 2.
This feature is designed to ease the burden on the notification bar by automatically assigning low-priority notifications – it will return in the new HyperOS 2, as announced in an early review of the new Xiaomi 15 series, and will provide users with a better experience without distractions.
Previously part of MIUI, the Unimportant Notifications feature takes on the burden of making the notification bar more rigorous by filtering out those messages it doesn’t consider important.

Eventually, they are grouped into one section so that Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco users can focus only on important alerts and remove the less necessary ones. This not only reduces clutter on the screen, but actually improves the performance of the entire system.
Moreover, HyperOS 2 returns “Unimportant Notifications” to Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices with much greater efficiency due to the use of artificial intelligence algorithms at the system level, and the new HyperCore core is expected to classify notifications even more efficiently.
Recall that the other day, Xiaomi CEO Lu Weibing said that the new version of HyperOS will be “out of the box” perfectly optimized for all compatible Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices (list).
