Yesterday we already talked about the fact that Xiaomi will hold a special event in India on July 29, where it will present two new tablets of the Redmi brand — Redmi Pad SE 4G and Redmi Pad Pro 5G, and now updated information has appeared on the first one.
As reported, the hardware base of the Redmi Pad SE 4G tablet, also known as the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 4G, will be the ancient MediaTek Helio G85 processor, although the Helio G99 chipset was previously called, and Snapdragon 680 even earlier.
In addition, the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 will receive an 8.7-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a peak brightness of 600 nits. At the same time, the screen provides a contrast ratio of 1500:1, 10-bit colors and is certified by TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker Free.
Two SIM cards are also mentioned, a 5 MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an 8 megapixel 8 MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless interfaces, a GPS module, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a 3.5mm audio jack, and A 6650 mAh battery with 18W fast charging via a USB-C port.
The dimensions of the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 4G will not exceed 211.58 x 125.48 x 8.8 mm with a weight of 375 grams, and out of the box the tablet will run the proprietary firmware MIUI Pad 14 based on Android 13, which is very strange.
The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 4G tablet will be offered in black, green and blue color options, but the price tag has not yet been announced.
