Qualcomm experts have announced that three serious vulnerabilities have been discovered in its mobile processors, including the top-end Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, as well as in a number of models of the Adreno graphics controller.
Vulnerabilities CVE-2025-21479 and CVE-2025-21480 are related to memory corruption in the GPU due to the execution of unauthorized commands, and CVE-2025-27038 concerns an error in the Chrome browser that allows accessing already freed memory.
Regarding the latter, it is also known that it affects a certain list of simple Qualcomm chips, including Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 680. That is, we are talking not only about flagship solutions, but also about budget smartphones.
At the same time, Qualcomm claims that it sent fixes to smartphone manufacturers back in May, but the timing of the release of the relevant updates depends on the companies themselves.
