As is known, global updates of HyperOS 3 will be mostly based on the latest Android 16 operating system, but some Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco models, which the manufacturer considers “outdated”, will receive HyperOS 3 based on Android 15.
Against this backdrop, information has emerged that Xiaomi has already begun internal testing of HyperOS 3 builds based on Android 15, which will bring significant improvements to system stability, privacy, and AI integration to compatible Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices, but without the new features from Android 16.
According to insiders, HyperOS 3 updates based on Android 15 will be released between December 2025 and March 2026 for certain Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices .
