However, the reason for this pause is directly related to the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Jie), which is officially celebrated in China from May 31 to June 2, 2025.
During this traditional holiday, most technology companies based in China, including Xiaomi, temporarily suspend their normal activities, including software development and the release of system updates, switching to a “light” mode of operation.
As expected, Xiaomi developers will return to the usual schedule for the release of HyperOS 2 firmware today, and users of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices will continue to receive regular updates.
