At the beginning of next week, on October 29, Xiaomi will hold a big presentation, during which, among other new products, it will present flagship smartphones of the Xiaomi 15 line with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip on board, and today the results of gaming tests of the basic Xiaomi 15 model appeared online.
In particular, the Xiaomi 15 launched a fairly heavy Genshin Impact game at maximum settings, where it showed a decent 59.9 fps. At the same time, it is impressive that the power consumption of the chip was just over 4 watts, and the maximum temperature reached only 39 °C.
That is, the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite is at the MediaTek Dimension 9400 level, but in all tests it consumed significantly more power than the previous Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The tests also included the Honor of Kings game, where the Xiaomi 15 achieved an average of 119.8 fps with a consumption of 3.65 watts and a maximum temperature of 37.9°C. The third test included the Honkai: Star Rail round, where the novelty showed an average frequency of 59.8 fps and a power consumption of 4.53 watts.
Xiaomi 15 also passed the GPU test in the 3D Mark Steel Nomad benchmark and showed an impressive score of 2,530 points with an average frame rate of 18.7 fps, which is better than last year’s iPhone 15 Pro.
