In the first quarter of 2025, the premiere of Xiaomi‘s newest camera phone is expected, which, in theory, should be called Xiaomi 15 Ultra and appear on the global market, including Russia, and interesting information appeared yesterday about the upcoming novelty.
Reportedly, Xiaomi 15 Ultra will retain the puck-shaped main camera unit, but the location of the modules and their size will change significantly. Moreover, insiders have already shared a diagram of how it will all look like.
Presumably, a massive periscope camera module based on a 200-megapixel image sensor (probably a Samsung ISOCELL HP9) will be placed on top of the “washer”, an inch-long main sensor (rumored to be a Sony LYT-900) will be located under it, and on its sides there will be a “shir” with a TV speaker, which is attributed to the sensor. Interestingly, the fact that the location of the camera modules in the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will change relative to its predecessor was previously mentioned by the well-known network informant Digital Chat Station, but then no one could figure out his rebus, which seems to show the placement of the modules.
The release date of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has not yet been announced, but insiders and various online sources claim that the official premiere of the camera phone will take place in January next year.
