Back in March, there was information that the basic flagship Xiaomi 16 will have a larger screen size compared to the 6.36-inch panel of its predecessor.
Although this rumor did not mention the specific size of the future Xiaomi 16, new information from a well-known Digital Chat Station insider suggests that the diagonal of the Xiaomi 16 display will remain within 6.3 inches.
It will be the “best and most beautiful” compact screen, equipped with “insanely tiny frames” and eye protection features that will put it “much ahead” of the competition.
It is also said that this year’s Xiaomi flagship will be equipped with a triple main camera based on a 50-megapixel image sensor, which will include a periscope module.
Moreover, it is reported that Xiaomi 16 will be very thin, but it will receive the largest battery among all devices of a similar size. The exact capacity has not yet been announced, but it is assumed that it will not be lower than 6500 mAh.
Out of the box, Xiaomi 16 will run the latest proprietary HyperOS 3.0 platform, built on the equally latest Android 16 operating system, which Google plans to release by the end of June.
