Xiaomi developers have officially confirmed that there is a critical bug in the latest system update for Redmi A3 and Poco C61, which causes the devices to enter recovery mode and become unusable.
Owners of the Redmi A3 and Poco C61 are massively complaining that their smartphones were stuck on the Android recovery screen after updating via a Wi-Fi connection and displayed the error message “Unable to load Android system.”
This problem affected the owners of the Redmi A3 and Poco C61, who tried to install the Android Go 816.0.5.0.UGR MIXM firmware via a Wi-Fi network, but this update damages system files, which prevents the Android system from starting normally and the device goes into recovery mode.
This is a serious data loss risk for Redmi A3 and Poco C61 users who have not made backups of their devices recently. Moreover, the problem seems to be present in all regions where the Redmi A3 and Poco C61 are sold.
The positive aspect is that Xiaomi reacted quickly to this issue. The solution was released today as an update number V816.0.6.0.VGRMIXM, which fixes this bug.
Until it is possible to safely install the patched version of the update, we recommend that users of the Redmi A3 and Poco C61 take the following precautions::
- Postpone all scheduled system updates.
- Disable any automatic updates in the system settings.
- As a precaution, save all important files immediately.
- If you are prompted to update the system, please specify that this is a fixed version of V816.0.6.0.VGRMIXM.
Those who have previously encountered the problem of not being able to download their Redmi A3 and Poco C61 after the update can try installing this update through recovery mode, if available.
