Xiaomi is allegedly working on a smartphone without buttons, which it will release in the first half of 2025. The future novelty is codenamed zhuque, and its key feature will obviously be the complete absence of buttons.
Unfortunately, the source does not specify what exactly will replace the hardware buttons on the smartphone, so it may be a combination of gesture control, pressure-sensitive edges, touch pads or voice commands.
In addition, Xiaomi’s button-free smartphone will have a selfie camera under the display, which we hope will be better than Samsung’s attempts in this area.
Zhuque will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4 processor, which will also be used in the Xiaomi 15S Pro, which is expected to be announced from April to June 2025.

As for the Zhuque, we will have to wait and see if it will be successful or if it will be more of a niche demo product like the Meizu Zero. Do you remember the Meizu Zero?
