Xiaomi developers continue to slowly deploy the global version of HyperOS 2 (all released firmware), which is based on the Android 15 operating system, and HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 is already on the horizon.
Google recently released the first build of Android 16 First Developer Preview ahead of schedule, and predictably, insiders named those Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices that will receive HyperOS 3 on Android 16 in the future.

Better performance on older devices: HyperOS 3 will improve memory management. Even older phones will work faster and smoother.
iOS-Inspired Features: The Control Center will have a new design, and multitasking will become easier. Switching between applications will feel faster and more efficient.
It is clear that there is currently no information on the release dates of HyperOS 3 firmware based on Android 16. And they won’t appear before the fall of 2025, despite the fact that Android 16 itself will be released much earlier.
