Launched last year, the Xiaomi HyperOS software platform, among other things, was supposed to ensure the operation of a wide variety of Xiaomi products within the framework of a single HyperOS Connect ecosystem, which the developers mostly succeeded in doing.
At the same time, users of some models of smartphones and tablets Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco still faced serious errors, overheating of the devices and problems with their performance.
However, Xiaomi experts have been working on fixing these issues for a long time in the upcoming HyperOS 2.0 update and, according to sources, the company is investing heavily in optimizing the new version of the operating system to provide a smoother and more responsive user experience.
It is also reported that Xiaomi will expand the compatibility of its proprietary HyperOS 2.0 firmware to include a wider range of older devices – this will allow more users to take advantage of new features, although relatively old devices will remain on Android 14.
However, it is not specified which smartphones and tablets, which according to Xiaomi have become obsolete, but will receive HyperOS 2.0.
Despite the fact that the official release date of the latest HyperOS 2.0 software platform has not been confirmed, it is assumed that it will be launched along with the flagship Xiaomi 15 smartphone family at the end of October.
