One of the strong top managers behind Xiaomi‘s software is Jin Fan, vice president of mobile phones at Xiaomi Group and head of MIUI (now HyperOS).
He joined Xiaomi in 2011 and quickly became famous, leading the development of a number of key modules and feature designs in optimizing the proprietary MIUI software shell.
However, recently, all content was massively deleted on Jin Fan’s page on the Chinese social network Weibo, and now his profile says “No content.” This is quite strange considering his positions such as “Xiaomi Product Director” and “MIUI Experience Manager”, and countless Xiaomi fans have already started speculating about this development.

Why would someone who is central to Xiaomi’s public and product strategy delete their digital footprint? Some speculate that this may be a harbinger of a new shift in the company’s top positions, while others wonder if it’s Jin Fan’s personal decision to start all over again on social media.
In theory, the cleaning of all content on Weibo by Jin Fan may indicate some drastic changes in Xiaomi’s marketing and product strategies. This may be a large-scale or even a new direction of development that the HyperOS software platform will take.
