Xiaomi is always working on ways to improve the battery life and performance of its devices, and now messages from users suggest the presence of a hidden software update function responsible for the battery in HyperOS.
This tool, called HyperOS Update Battery Firmware, can help you set up your smartphone’s power management. Many users are not aware of this option, but it can make a difference. If you have a Xiaomi, you can check if this feature is available on your device.
To do this, go to Settings – Battery – Additional Functions, where the Update Battery firmware item may be located.
If the option is available, you can check for battery firmware updates and install the latest version. Such updates can optimize charging speed, battery life, and energy management.
Before launching the update, it is important to make sure that your phone meets several key requirements.
- Your phone must be running the latest Security version. Some users report that the battery software update function is not displayed if the security system is not updated.
- Make sure that your device has a stable internet connection. Disconnecting the connection may interrupt the update process.
- Your phone must have at least 50% battery charge before starting the update. This ensures that the process completes without problems.
However, it is not yet clear which Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices will provide this feature, and other details on it are not yet available.
